Australia/New Zealand to host 2023 Women’s World Cup

World soccer ruling body FIFA made the confirmation during the council meeting The two countries are considered as single/joint bid. Brazil and Japan had earlier withdrawn from hosting the tournament leaving only Colombia and the joint bid from Australia and New Zealand on the table. In a unanimous decision the council agreed that the joint bid from the two countries be handed the green card.
