Baffour Gyan granted GHC 30,000 bail

first_imgBaffour Gyan and Samuel Anim Addo, manager for Asamoah Gyan have been granted bail on Monday by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) circuit court after being charged for allegedly assaulting Daniel Kenu, a reporter of Graphic Corporation. The bail was set at GHC 30,000 for each person and the case has therefore been adjourned to Friday 12 September.Although the police granted the accused persons a bail on Saturday, their lawyer Augustus Anane Quebah had to plead with the court to grant them a bail.   Baffour and Anim Addo were arrested after a report was made to the police following the alleged assault of a Kumasi based reporter of the Graphic Communication, Daniel Kenu by thugs said to have been hired by the former national team striker. It started after the said journalist gave Asamoah Gyan, the junior brother of Baffour a platform to clear the air of the rumours that he had sacrificed hip life musician, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly called Castro. The prosecutor wanted them to be remanded until the macho-men who were allegedly hired to assault Kenu are produced, but upon the plea of their lawyer, the circuit court judge, William Boampong granted them a bail.last_img read more
