MIAMI (WSVN) – A man was killed and another remains in the hospital after, police said, a dispute at a barbershop in Miami led to a shooting and stabbing, Thursday morning.City of Miami Police responded to the scene of the incident at the Cooperstown Barber Shop, located along the 2000 block of Northwest 22nd Avenue, just before 11 a.m.According to investigators, an altercation between two men led to one person being stabbed while the other was shot.Paramedics transported both men to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where the shooting victim died.The daughter of the stabbing victim said her father owns the business. “From what I know, my dad was in the barbershop. He was all the way in the back washing his hands,” said Jennifer Beriguet. “The guy had come in. He had, like, a switchblade, like a razor, in his pocket when he had come in.”Beriguet said her father opened fire in self-defense. “He got shot when he stabbed my dad, and my dad defended himself,” she said.Police said the two victims were the only ones in the barbershop at the time.
