first_imgA new era has officially begun in the Big Apple. The New York Jets have a new coach, a young and promising quarterback, and now brand-new uniforms to match. On Thursday, after weeks of speculation and leaked images of potential new outfits, the Jets officially unveiled their new threads for the Year 2 of the Sam Darnold Era. The just-replaced iteration of uniforms was created before the start of the 1998 season upon the request of then-coach Bill Parcells. New York won the AFC East that season and reached the AFC championship game. The novelty quickly wore off, however, as the Jets have won their division just once since then. Social media had already been reacting to dozens of different leaks during the past few days, so when the news became official, it didn’t hold back.Sam Darnold has the look of a man who knows the New York Jets new uniforms are hot garbage.— Rob Paul (@RobPaulNFL) April 5, 2019It’s official, the New York Jets now have the ugliest uniforms in the entire NFL🤢🤮— Brad (@ChildGrowingOld) April 3, 2019New NFL uniforms are looking more and more like fake uniforms you’d see in Any Given Sunday.— Ari Wasserman (@AriWasserman) April 5, 2019New York Jets uniforms on top, Saskatchewan Roughriders uniforms on bottom (H/T @TujuMaster)— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) April 5, 2019In a surprising plot twist, not all comments were filled with hate.Feel very Super Bowl-y to me.— Colin Cowherd (@ColinCowherd) April 5, 2019Hot take: The new Jets uniforms are closer to the best Jets uniforms, so I like them.— Matt Fortuna (@Matt_Fortuna) April 5, 2019I think Jamal Adams would make all of the Jets uniforms look cool thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.— Mike Golic Jr (@MGolicJR57) April 5, 2019All white looks 🔥 idc— M4N0L1 (@onlymanoli) April 5, 2019The new New York Jets uniforms look siiiiiiiiick.— 𝙹𝚘𝚜𝚑𝚞𝚊 𝚁𝚞𝚜𝚜𝚘 (@DjoshUnchained) April 5, 2019Hey, if you look good, you feel good.
