first_imgMichael Bourke from Upperchurch-Drombane has been elected chairman of the Tipp County Board.He succeeds Kilsheelan’s Sean Nugent for a three year term.Speaking to Tipp FM at last nights convention in Thurles Michael Bourke said solving the club fixtures crisis is high on his list of priorities.  He says this is as a result of having so many dual clubs and so many teams together with the success of inter county teams.Michael Bourke will now talk to club officers and players to see if they can change the thinking.John Devane from Boherlahan-Dualla was elected as the new County Board Vice-Chairman.PJ Maher, also from Boherlahan, was elected as the Development Officer, beating Joe Brennan of Ballyneale/Grangemockler by 156 votes to 62.John Costigan from JK Brackens and Jimmy Minogue from Nenagh Eire Óg were both elected to be Tipperary’s representatives on the Munster Council.last_img
