Founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a private, non-profit organization headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama. Stevenson is dedicated to helping the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned. One recent victory: A ban on sentences of life imprisonment without parole imposed on children convicted of most crimes in the U.S.Stevenson is also a professor at New York University School of Law.
