Person dead after car collides with moose

first_imgA person is dead after a car collided with a moose on the Alaska Highway.On Friday morning, a vehicle was traveling north of Fort St. John, and at around Mile 78, it collided with a moose.Following the collision, the vehicle drove off the road to the east ditch. One occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene. – Advertisement -Another occupant was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At Mile 78, traffic has been reduced to one alternating lane of travel to allow for investigating officers to complete an examination of the scene. The highway should be re-opened at 11am on Friday morning. Now, the name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next-of-kin.Advertisementlast_img
