Inquiry closed for doctor who resigned amid Nassar probe

EAST LANSING, Mich. — A Michigan State University doctor who resigned last year after learning the school was considering firing her because she didn’t disclose that USA Gymnastics was investigating disgraced former sports doctor Larry Nassar has been cleared in a state licensing inquiry.The state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs said Tuesday it couldn’t substantiate a violation by Brooke Lemmen and closed its investigation into her.Aaron Kemp, Lemmen’s attorney, told the Lansing State Journal his client is happy to be cleared in the investigation. He says it’s “very good news.”Lemmen was among several current or former Michigan State doctors or trainers who had been under licensing investigation by LARA.Nassar worked for Michigan State and USA Gymnastics, which trains Olympians. first_imgA MAN WHO died when a car fell on him has been named as 28-year-old John Campbell from Kilcar, Donegal.The father-of-three died on Tuesday night in the village when a car he was working on fell from its supports.Emergency services responded to the scene, but he was pronounced dead at around 9.40pm.His funeral will be held tomorrow at 12 noon in St.Cartha’s Church, Kilcar with burial afterwards in the nearby cemetery.Kilcar is a small Gaeltacht village around 15km from Killybeggs.Read: Man (28) dies in accident after car he was working on falls>last_img
